Focke-Wulf vs Spitfire EP by Lovesores

Scott Drake from The Humpers. So it sounds like The Humpers. This is a (very) good thing.

Over The Edge

To say this film changed my life would be an understatement. Whilst the film itelf is great and highly recommended, the soundtrack is phenomenal. This was the first time I heard Cheap Trick (I was 13) and it basically shaped my musical taste forever.

Good Graphics EP by Rozwell Kid

Imagine if you took the fun catchiness of Weezer and mixed it with the loud, heavy guitars and distorted bass of Dinosaur Jr. The songs have great melodies, fun lyrics, and that same pop sensibility that early Weezer had. They really crank up the distortion in their songs, just like any one of your favourtie 90's "grunge" band. What more could you want? Enjoy.

ST EP 7" by The Basement Benders

Great little EP from members of Future Virgins/ This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb/ Hidden Spots/ Dark Rides/ Tulsa/ Stun Guns/ Black Rainbow/ Cleveland Bound Death Sentence/ Sexy. Rough & ready punk with heart & soul.

III by the Hex Dispensers

Sorta Goth-y, kinda garage-y, this is probably the best Hex Dipensers album yet. Perfect balance between all their disparate parts, great melodies, great punk tunes.

Can't Wait by Sugar Stems

I'd heard great things about this band so gave this album a spin. Wasn't impressed to be honest. Gave it another listen, just in case, and now I get it. I've never changed my mind so quickly about an album! The songwriting, melodies, musicianship, vocals... Superb. Really. By turns The Go-Gos and Voice Of The Beehive, Sugar Stems are what I imagine Josie & The Pussycats should sound like. And that's about as good as it gets!

The Dwarves Invented Rock & Roll by The Dwarves

The greatest rock & roll band on the planet? Definately one of the best. They've certainly never released a bad album, and this one is no different.
